There is a lot of health information on the internet, but for most people getting it is a bit like trying to drink from a fire hose. Much of it is contradictory, much is biased, and a lot of it is just downright wrong.
As a family doctor taking care of patients for 42 years, I have learned that one of my most important jobs is translating medical information in a way that patients can understand and that they can use to improve their health.
The posts in this blog come out of many conversations I have had with patients about health and health care. They are intended to be practical, down to earth and useful. I have created this blog for anyone who has an interest in improving their health.
The opinions and information expressed in this blog are totally my own but are based on the best current evidence. I frequently provide links to articles for those that want to explore further.
